Camp #1: Art That Matters
Camp Purpose:
Students will learn how to...
WonderGo students will create and perform dance and theater pieces that bring awareness to causes they care about.
-create meaningful choreography that serves a greater
purpose
-shape a story in dramatic writing and choreography
-Form relationships between characters with different
perspectives
-connect with each other and the audience through
comedy improvisation
-hone skills in hip-hop and contemporary dance
Ages: Rising 7th-12th Grade

Camp #2: How to Choreograph Musicals
Camp Purpose:
WonderGo students will learn how to meet the challenges of choreographing for musical theater while telling the best story possible. All students will get a chance to co-choreograph and teach their own musical theater piece!
-work with directors, costumes, lights, sets, props,
and scripts
-convey and build character relationships
-portray a character's personality in dance
-further the plot through dance
-match the dance style to the era of the show

Camp #3: Pay Art Forward
Camp Purpose:
Students will learn how to...
WonderGo students will give back to the people that have made a positive impact on their lives by creating and dedicating dance, theater, and visual art pieces in their honor. They will even "pay art forward" to the community by performing a flash mob (a surprise
dance) in public!
-portray a story and emotion in choreography
-perform comedy improvisation
-write a compelling scene
-hone skills in drawing people, specifically dancers!
-produce a flash mob dance

Location: The Social Hall inside the
Cherrydale Fire Department
3900 Lee Hwy, Arlington, VA 22207
Time: Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00-5:00 p.m.
Performance: Friday from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Tuition: $340 ($10 per hour plus a $20 t-shirt)
*The Pay Art Forward Camp has an extra fee of $25 for art supplies.
