We are on the lookout for Comedy Sketch and Improvisation Teaching Artist!

​

The WonderGo Comedy  Sketch and Improvisation classes will form 2 troupes of students, 1 group in high school and 1 in middle school, that practice weekly as well as host free, monthly interactive performances for elementary schools, senior centers, and children in homeless shelters. 

​

Where:

  • Classes will be held at the Vienna Community Center. Performances will be at various locations within Fairfax, VA. 

​

When:

  • Tuesday's from 3:30-5:00 September 3rd-December 10th  2019 (no November 26th).

  • Saturday's 10:30-12:00 September 7th-December 14th 2019 (no November 24th)

  • Performance dates are to be determined.

​

    

Benefits: 

  • Teachers will be paid $25 per hour. After teaching 4 semesters, the teachers' pay will increase to $30 per hour.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience in a school, studio, or other type of company. 

  • Training in the field of comedy improvisation through a college and/or studio.

  • Performance experience in theatre.

  • Passion for inspiring creativity, compassion, and courageously quirky behavior in the best way possible.
